Update: Arrests over Trott Park robbery

Two people have been charged following an aggravated robbery at Trott Park over the weekend.

About 11.50pm on Sunday 24 November, patrols were called to supermarket on Heysen Drive after reports that two men had entered, one allegedly armed with a firearm, before they stole an amount of cash and cigarettes and left the store on foot.

Thankfully, the staff member was not physically injured. Southern patrols with the assistance of PD Enzo searched the area but were unable to locate the suspects at the time.

Following an investigation, this afternoon (Wednesday 27 November), police from the Southern District, along with Detectives, STAR, Crime Gangs Task Force and PD Harriet attended a Trott Park home to conduct a search.

Inside police located two men, aged 25 and 21, along with an amount of cash and cigarettes. Police also allegedly located a Taser, capsicum spray, illicit substances and equipment.

Both men have been charged with aggravated robbery and possess prohibited weapon and were refused bail to appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court tomorrow, Thursday 28 November.
