Update - Arrest over Evandale service station robbery

Eastern District Police have arrested a man over a service station robbery at Evandale on Monday.

Just before 5am on Monday 3 May, a man armed with a large kitchen knife entered a service station on Portrush Road and threatened the console operator before fleeing with cash.

No one was physically injured.

Eastern District patrols including a police dog patrol searched the area but the suspect wasn't located.

CCTV images of the suspect were released in a bid to identify him.

As a result of investigations, a 25-year-old man from Oakden was arrested by Detectives over the robbery on Wednesday.

He was charged with aggravated robbery and refused police bail. He appeared in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Wednesday and was remanded in custody.
