Update: Police call for witnesses to Seaford Rise crash

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a serious crash at Seaford Rise yesterday evening and are asking anyone who saw the cars prior to the crash to contact police.

Just after 5.30pm Monday 9 July police and emergency services were called to Main South Road, near the intersection of Pedler Road after two cars collided head on.

The driver of a 1995 blue Ford Festiva sedan, a 31-year-old man, was taken to the Flinders Medical Centre with life threatening injuries where he remains.


Five other people in a silver 2007 Mazda CX7 station wagon, a 26-year-old Normanville woman, 37-year-old Myponga man, and three children aged, 1, 4 and 7 years received minor injuries.


Major Crash officers attended the scene to assist patrols in investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Police are asking anyone who saw the blue Ford Festiva sedan which had been travelling south on Main South Road prior to the collision to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online at www.crimestopperssa.com.au
