Passenger dies following Port Wakefield Fatal

A passenger involved in a fatal crash at Port Wakefield this week has died in hospital.

Just before 10.30am Thursday 7 November, police and emergency services were called to the intersection of the Copper Coast and Augusta Highways after reports of a crash between a car and a truck.

The driver of the car, a 72-year-old woman from Henley Beach South, sadly died at the scene. The passenger, an 82-year-old man also from Henley Beach South, was taken by helicopter to the Royal Adelaide Hospital but sadly he died this morning as a result of his injuries.

The truck driver, a 51-year-old man form Angle Vale, was not injured.

Major diversions were in place however roads have since reopened.

The man's death takes the State's road toll to 92, compared to 61 at the same time last year.
