12 Feb 2020 4:36pm

Police are investigating a fatal crash at Para Hills West this afternoon.

Emergency services responded to a collision between a car and motorcycle on Bridge Road, near Williamson Road, about 12.45pm on Wednesday 12 February.  The motorcycle burst into flames following the crash.

The motorcyclist, an 18-year-old Walkley Heights man, was rushed to the Royal Adelaide Hospital by ambulance but was sadly pronounced deceased at hospital.

The driver of the car, an 83-year-old Salisbury East woman, was taken to the Lyell McEwin Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Major Crash investigators attended the scene and will examine both vehicles.

Police want to speak to anyone who witnessed the crash or saw the vehicles travelling through the area immediately prior to the crash.  Anyone with information or dashcam who has not yet spoken to police can provide their details via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online at www.crimestopperssa.com.au

Bridge Road is closed in both directions from Kesters Road through to Maxwell Road while investigators remain at the scene.
