Update: fatal crash Mount Gambier

Major Crash Officers are investigating the circumstances of a fatal crash at Mount Gambier early this morning.

Just after 12.15am, Friday 11 October, police and emergency services were called to Lake Terrace East after reports a man was lying on the road. Investigations indicate the man had been hit by a vehicle and sadly the 51-year-old local man died at the scene. 

Forensic Response Officers have examined the scene and have deemed it not suspicious. Police have spoken to numerous witnesses and drivers in the area at the time. 

Lake Terrace East was closed for several hours. 

Police are appealing for anyone who was in the Lake Terrace East area between 11.30pm and 12.45am anyone with images or vision of the incident to please submit their footage via the uWitnessIt webpage.
