Pedestrian dies following last weeks crash

A man has died in hospital following a crash in the CBD last week.

Just after 8.30pm on Thursday 12 July, police and emergency services were called to King William Road, just south of Victoria Drive after a car collided with a pedestrian.

Paramedics worked on the 46-year-old Valley View man at the scene before he was rushed to the Royal Adelaide Hospital. Sadly the man died from his injuries last night (Sunday 15 July)

The driver of the car, a 45-year-old Novar Gardens, man was uninjured but taken to hospital as a precaution.

King William Road was closed in both directions for several hours, but has reopened overnight.

Major Crash Officers are investigating the circumstances of the crash and ask anyone who witnessed the incident and has not yet spoken to police is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report online at

The road toll is now 40 compared to 47 at the same time last year.
