A man has died following a crash Port Augusta this afternoon.
About 3.10pm Friday 12 April police and emergency services were called to a business car park in Mackay Street after reports that a car had collided with a pole. Sadly the driver and sole occupant, a 90-year-old local man died at the scene.
Major Crash Investigators are attending the scene. Although the investigation is in its early stages, it’s believed the driver may have suffered a medical episode.
The man’s death takes the State’s Road Toll to 36, compared to 20 at the same time last year.
