UPDATE III: Man dies after crash at Kilkenny

A man has died after a crash at Kilkenny.

It will be alleged that just before 9.45am on Sunday 19 November, police and emergency services were called to First Avenue after reports a pedestrian was struck by a car.

The pedestrian, a 62-year-old man from Woodville Gardens, suffered critical injuries and was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital.

He passed away in hospital on Friday 24 November.

The driver of the utility, a 60-year-old man from Strathalbyn, was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he had a sample of his blood taken.

He was reported for aggravated driving without due care.

He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.

Major Crash officers attended the scene and are investigating the cause of the collision.

The man’s death is the 104th life lost on South Australian roads this year, compared to 62 at this time last year.
