Second man arrested over Modbury murder

Just after 3pm on Thursday 16 March police and paramedics were called to Victoria Drive, Modbury after a man was allegedly assaulted by two men on pushbikes.

The victim, a 62-year-old man from Modbury, suffered critical head injuries and was treated at the scene by paramedics before being rushed to the Royal Adelaide Hospital but sadly passed away the following day (Friday 17 March).

A 33-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested this morning by Eastern District CIB detectives and is expected to be charged with murder.

The arrested man will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court later today.

A 32-year-old Modbury North man, arrested shortly after the incident at Modbury, is already facing charges over the death.

Police advise the community this was not a random incident.
