A man has been arrested following an assault in Gouger Street, Adelaide on Friday afternoon.
Police received multiple calls from members of the public reporting a man who may have been carrying a knife in Gouger Street about 1.30pm on Friday 26 June.
A review of CCTV showed the man allegedly punch another man before leaving the area. Police have since spoken to the victim, who did not require medical treatment.
Police searched the CBD for several hours before locating the suspect near the Franklin Street bus depot.
After speaking to several witnesses it will also be alleged the man threatened people in a coffee shop on Waymouth Street Adelaide about 11.30am on Friday 26 June. Thankful no-one was physically injured but the victims were shaken by the incident.
A 35-year-old man from Taperoo has been charged with unlawful threats, aggravated assault, carry an offensive weapon and unlawful possession of prescription drugs. He has been refused police bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Monday.
