Search for man following break-in at Mile End

Police are searching for a man armed with scissors after he entered a Mile End unit this morning, threatened the occupants and stole cash.

Just before 7.30am Thursday 16 May, a man armed with scissors entered a Gladstone Road unit via an unlocked rear door, threatened the occupants demanding money.

The suspect was given a small amount of cash and left the premises without incident.

Western District Police including a police dog patrol searched the area for the suspect described as man of Aboriginal appearance, 175cms tall, wearing a grey jacket, but he wasn't located.
