Police search for missing person Geoffrey McLean

19 Sep 2022 12:16pm

Police are conducting a search of Stebonheath Park and surrounds at Andrews Farm today in search for missing person Geoffrey McLean.

The 55 year old man was last seen around 4am, Friday 19 August 2022 where he left his home at Leicester Grove, Andrews Farm to meet unknown persons.

Major Crime Investigation Branch Detective Inspector Brett Featherby said Geoffrey was reported missing by his partner on 29 August.

“Extensive CCTV analysis has failed to identify him leaving his home address and our investigations have not been able to locate any evidence to suggest Geoffrey is still alive,” he said.

“Geoffrey has not accessed his bank accounts since 18 August and we cannot exclude the possibility that he has been the victim of foul play.”

Today STAR Operations, Water Operations, Mounted Operations, Major Crime and Northern District CIB conducted searches around public green spaces and waterways around his home.

Police are asking the public who may have dashcam footage in and around Andrews Farm on 18 and 19 August to contact police.

If anyone has knowledge of events leading up to Geoffrey’s disappearance or what may have happened to him please contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or go to crimestopperssa.com.au
