Update: Whitmore Square opened after police investigate incident

Police are investigating after a woman was found unconscious in the CBD overnight.

Just after 8pm Wednesday 14 August, police were called to Whitmore Square after receiving information of a woman lying unconscious on the road.

The 32-year-old woman from Kilburn was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital. It remains unclear how the woman sustained her injuries which are not considered to be life threatening.

Whitmore Square was closed for several hours but has since reopened.

Detectives from Eastern District CIB and forensic officers attended the scene and investigations are continuing.
