Modbury home targeted again

24 Nov 2022 7:06am

Police are investigating after a home in Modbury was broken in to for the second time this week.

Just before midnight on Tuesday 22 November two men forced their way into a house of Burton Street. While gaining entry the victim was hit in the face with the door.

Once inside the two men threatened the victim before stealing jewellery, laptop, cash and a wallet. The suspects then stole the victim’s Renault Koleos crashing into the letterbox before driving away. Later, about 7am the car was located abandoned on Norma Avenue, Ridgehaven.

The victim, aged 69, received a minor injury to her face and was treated at the scene by Paramedics.

Just before 4.30am on Thursday 24 November police were called to an alarm activation at the Burton Street home. Patrols were quickly on scene but the suspects had left before they arrived. Two men were seen leaving the area at the time of the break in.

Thankfully this time no one was at home at the time of the incident, and it does not appear that anything was stolen. PD Judge searched the area but did not locate anyone.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online at www.crimestopperssa.com.au – you can remain anonymous.
