A 44-year-old man from Victoria is expected to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court tomorrow charged with the murder of Beverley Hanley after being arrested interstate today.
A year ago, in May 2018, SA Police announced that the formation of Task Force Resolute under the auspices of SAPOL’s cold case strategy Operation Persist to investigate the death of grandmother Beverly Ellen Hanley.
The 64-year-old was found dead in her Homington Rd home at Elizabeth North on Wednesday 6 October 2010.
Investigators believe she was killed earlier that day, sometime between 7.30am and 11am. She had suffered severe head injuries, her house ransacked and her handbag stolen.
Victoria Police today arrested the accused and detectives from the SA Police Major Crime Investigation Branch have successfully applied for his extradition to South Australia.

Through Operation Persist police will continue to review and investigate other unsolved homicides cases.
