Man robbed at Mile End

Western District Police are investigating an aggravated robbery which occurred yesterday at Mile End.

Just after 11.30am on Wednesday 8 August, a 69-year-old man was walking through the car park of a hardware store on Railway Terrace, when he was pushed to the ground and lost consciousness. When he recovered, the victim found a number of personal items including his watch and wedding band and neck chain were missing.

The victim later attended Netley Police Station and reported the matter.  He sustained a minor head injury and grazing to both hands and was treated by paramedics.

Investigations are continuing and police are reviewing CCTV. Anyone who witnessed this incident or has any information that may assist  police are urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online at
