A group of police officers with a difference graduated in a ceremony before the Commissioner of Police Grant Stevens today (16 May).
Each of the six graduates have already been a police officer – either interstate or in New Zealand.
They have undertaken a 12-week transitional program before graduating at the SA Police Academy at Taperoo in front of invited guests, friends and family.
Made up of one woman and five men, the course graduates range in age from 25 to 41, and will be posted to metropolitan Local Service Areas while they complete the initial phase of their probationary constable training.
They bring an array of policing experience with them to serve the community, and will be welcome additions to the South Australian Police team.
