Fatal crash on North South Motorway

Police are investigating a fatal crash at Waterloo Corner overnight.

About 11.30pm on Saturday 11 September, police and emergency services were called to the North South Motorway after a pedestrian was struck by a Mitsubishi Pajero and Toyota sedan.

The pedestrian, a 28-year-old woman from Prospect, sadly died at the scene.

The Motorway was closed for northbound traffic at the Port Wakefield Road exit for several hours while Major Crash Investigators examined the circumstances surrounding the crash. The Motorway has since been reopened.

The woman's death is the 67th life lost on SA roads compared to 63 at the same time last year.
