Two men charged over Register Street assault

Two men have been charged over an assault in Register Street and police are still looking for a third suspect.

A 21-year-old man was punched and had his head stomped on during an incident which occurred about 3.40am on Sunday 17 June in Register Street, Adelaide.

Eastern District CIB detectives are investigating who was present during the assault and inflicted the injuries. The victim, who was hospitalised following the assault, is still recovering from his injuries.

A 22-year-old Paralowie man was arrested and charged with aggravated cause serious harm.  He was refused police bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today (13 September).

A 20-year-old Elizabeth East man was arrested on 29 August and charged with aggravated cause serious harm. He will reappear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 11 January.

Video footage was released of a man detectives are keen to speak to in relation to the assault.
