Emergency services have worked together to rescue a woman who was swept out to sea at Port Noarlunga last night.
About 10.20pm Monday 11 January emergency services were called to Port Noarlunga Jetty after a woman who had been in a group of divers conducting a night dive at got swept out to sea by a strong current.
Southern District patrols established points along the coast line and were able to spot the faint torch light of the diver who was now approximately 1km off shore.
With the assistance of PolAir and Sea Rescue a boat with volunteers and two police on board, headed out to the woman and were able to safely retrieve her about 11.20pm.
Paramedics treated the 45-year-old woman at the scene for fatigue but thankfully she had no other injuries. Police would like to thank everyone who assisted.
