South Australia Police have issued 494 expiation notices between Thursday and Sunday morning relating to COVID-19 breaches by individuals and businesses.
The total number of expiation cautions issued between 12.01am on Thursday 19 November and 7am on Sunday 22 November was 337.
The total number of expiation fines issued within the same time frame was 157.
The statistics are not able to be broken down further to individuals and businesses.
Police would like to remind the public that the expiations (fines in particular) were issued to people who have blatantly disregarded the requirements of the directions, while the greater population of South Australians were amazing and did the right thing.
We implore the South Australian community to continue to do the right thing as police and numerous other departments across the State continue their efforts against COVID-19.
