Assistance sought in Morphett Vale murder investigation - person identified

22 May 2020 6:57pm

Major Crime Detectives have now spoken to a man they sought to identify this morning as they continue their investigation into a Morphett Vale murder last month.

Just after 12.30pm on Thursday 16 April, police and paramedics were called to a Wangara Avenue home after the body of a 35-year-old woman was found inside.

Detectives from Southern District CIB and Major Crime Investigation Branch attended the home along with Forensic Crime Scene examiners.

The woman’s death has since been declared a major crime.

Major Crime Detectives arrested a 38-year-old man at Morphett Vale and charged him with murder. The Beverley man was refused bail and appeared in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 17 April.

The incident is not considered random, with the man and woman known to each other.

Anyone with information that may assist the investigation is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online at www.crimestopperssa.com.au
