Arrests after break-in at house under construction

16 May 2019 7:14am

Two men have been arrested and police are looking for a third after a break-in at Croydon Park early this morning.

Police were called to South Road, Croydon Park  about 4.45am on Thursday 16 May by a report of suspicious behaviour at a house under construction.  A neighbour had seen three men loading property into a four wheel drive and trailer.

Patrols attended and located the vehicles loaded with pavers, doors and building materials from the site.

Police searched the area with the assistance of Police Dog Havoc, who located one of the suspects on the roof of the premises.

Another man was caught by patrols as he tried to run through the cordons.

The search is continuing for the third suspect.

The four wheel drive and trailer were seized by police.

A 29-year-old Camden Park man and a 45-year-old South Plympton man were arrested and charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass, theft and property damage.  They were both bailed to appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court on 18 July.

Investigations are continuing.
