Arrest after Dry Creek robbery

17 Apr 2018 6:35am

A man has been arrested after an aggravated robbery at Dry Creek last night.

Police will allege that about 11pm on Monday 16 April, a man entered the gaming room of the hotel on Port Wakefield Road and threatened staff, claiming that he had a firearm.

The man fled with an amount of cash, and was last seen driving away from the scene in a silver Holden sedan.

The registration of the car was seen by a witness, and patrols searched the surrounding suburbs. Police found the suspect in the car a short time later in Magor Crescent in Salisbury where he was arrested.

A 37-year-old man of Manningham was charged with aggravated robbery and breach of bail. He was refused bail and will appear in court later today.
