UPDATE: Police renew appeal following aggravated robbery at Queenstown

21 Apr 2017 3:41pm

Police are renewing their appeal for information that may help locate a car stolen at Queenstown earlier this week.

Around 8.35pm on Monday, 17 April the victim was driving up to the junction of Spring Street and Tapley’s Hill Road, when a white Holden Commodore, possibly a year 2000 model, collided into the rear of his vehicle.

Both cars stopped and the victim got out of his vehicle to exchange details for what he believed was a minor collision. However two men, two of the four occupants of the other car, assaulted him and stole his vehicle.

The victim received head and face injuries and was conveyed by ambulance to hospital. He has since been released.

Police have released this description of two of the suspects:

A woman of Caucasian appearance, aged 25 to 30 years, with blonde hair.

A man of Caucasian appearance, approximately 180cms tall, slim build, wearing dark clothing. There is no description of the other two suspects.

The victim’s 2014 Holden Commodore SS (V8) registration SA S598 BBJ, which is likely to have minor rear-end damage, has not been recovered.  The seats of the Commodore also have a distinctive red stripe down the middle.

Anyone with information about this offence is asked to please contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report on-line at

You can remain anonymous.
