Youth arrested after pursuit

It will be alleged that about 2am today (Tuesday 19 September), police were called to Hurcombe Crescent in Port Augusta West after reports of a disturbance.

A silver Holden Calais station wagon was seen speeding away from the area.

Patrols attempted to stop the vehicle but it continued to speed away, with police terminating the pursuit.

The car was later found abandoned on Stokes Terrace with the driver found nearby.

An 11-year-old local boy was arrested and charged with illegal use of a motor vehicle. He was bailed to appear in court at a later date.
