Far North drink drivers

Roxby Downs police have reported two men for drink driving in separate instances overnight.

About 7.20pm on Friday 23 August, police stopped a car on Olympic Way at a random breath testing site. The driver, a 42-year-old man from Roxby Downs, allegedly produced a blood alcohol reading of 0.119.

The man was reported for drink driving, issued with an instant loss of licence for six months and is vehicle impounded for 28 days. He will be summonsed to appear in Court at a later date.

Just after midnight on Saturday 24 August, police stopped a car on Opal Creek Boulevard, Andamooka to conduct a random driver test.

The driver, a 59-year-old Far North man, allegedly produced a blood alcohol reading of 0.130.

The man was reported for drink driving, issued with an instant loss of licence for six months and his vehicle impounded for 28 days. He will be summonsed to appear in Court at a later date.
