Port Lincoln drink and drug drivers

Port Lincoln patrols have had a busy weekend with three drug and one drink driver.

At 5pm, Friday 20 September patrols stopped a car on Monash Road, Port Lincoln the driver a 39-year-old local woman submitted to a driver screening test and returned a positive reading to methamphetamine and cannabis. She was issued with a direction not to drive. Checks revealed the woman was also disqualified from driving, she was reported and will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.

A few hours later at 8pm partols stopped a car on Sleaford Terrace, Port Lincoln the driver a 42-year-old local woman submitted to a breath test she returned a positive reading of 0.062. She was reported for drink driving and will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.

At 9pm the same date police stopped a car on Dickens Street, Port Lincoln for a driver screening test. The driver a 44-year-old local man tested positive to methamphetamine. He was issued a 24 hour driver direction notice and may face further charges pending forensic analysis.

Just after 6.30pm, Saturday 21 September patrols stopped a car on Follett Street, Port Lincoln. The driver a 56-year-old Port Lincoln woman submitted to a driver screening test. She returned a positive reading to cannabis. She was issued a 24 hour driver direction notice and may face further charges pending forensic analysis.
