Robbery on Pulteney Street

Police are investigating a robbery in the Adelaide CBD early this morning.

About 4am on Saturday 25 May, police were called to a disturbance at a licensed premises on Pulteney Street.

On further investigation, patrols discovered that a patron had assaulted another patron and demanded cash from him. The victim handed over money and the suspect ran off.

Officers searched the area but the suspect was not located.

The victim sustained facial injuries and was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital for treatment.

Police located the suspects’ car nearby and upon searching it, located two firearms in the vehicle. The firearms and vehicle have been seized.

The two men are believed to be known to each other.

Investigators are following positive lines of inquiry with regard to the suspect.
