At the intersection of North-East Road and Nottage Terrace, the patrol grabbed the male rider, arresting him while he was waiting at the traffic lights.
A search of the arrest man's backpack uncovered a set of knuckle-dusters.
The 42-year-old man from Golden Grove was arrested and charged with illegal use of a motor vehicle, possess a prohibited weapon and breach of bail.
He has been refused police bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court later today.
