Man arrested at Westbourne Park

Police have arrested a man at Westbourne Park after allegedly breaking into a car this morning.

Just after 5am on Tuesday 21 November police were called to Richmond Road after a witness reported seeing a security light activation in a neighbouring garage and a man acting suspiciously near cars.

Patrols attended and located the suspect nearby.

On searching the suspect, police located a bag which had been stolen during a house break, where a   Suzuki hatchback had also been stolen at Linden Park earlier that night.

Police had earlier located the stolen vehicle at 12.20am at Sussex Terrace, Hawthorn.

The 36-year-old man from Westbourne Park has been charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass, theft, illegal use, unlawfully on premises, and illegal interference with motor vehicle. He has been refused police bail and will appear before the Adelaide Magistrates Court later today.
