Firearm charges after a Greenacres property search

22 Feb 2021 4:20pm

Two people have been arrested following the search of a property at Greenacres last night.

Investigators from Eastern District CIB searched a Greenacres property just after 10pm on Sunday 21 February.  They located a single barrel sawn off shotgun, ammunition, two tasers and over $10k cash.

Several items suspected to be used in the manufacture of methamphetamine were also located and members of the Serious and Organised Crime Branch (SOCB) attended and seized the items for further analysis.

The two occupants of the property, a 60-year-old man and a 49-year-old woman, were arrested and charged with various firearm and weapon offences, and unlawful possession.  They were refused bail and will attend Adelaide Magistrates Court today.

Enquiries are ongoing as to the items seized by SOCB but investigators have not ruled out further charges.
