Arrest after incident at city service station

A man has been arrested with weapons following a disturbance in the city early this morning.

About 5am on Friday 14 November, police were called to a service station on Pulteney Street after a man allegedly became aggressive with staff and then threatened them with a knife. The suspect left on a push bike in company with a woman.

Thankfully no one was physically injured.

Eastern District quickly responded and located the couple hiding in a garden on Frome Road.

Police recovered the knife along with a knuckle duster.

A 42-year-old man from Adelaide was charged with aggravated affray and possessing a prohibited weapon. He was bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 7 January.

A 31-year-old woman from Adelaide was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
