Band entertains ‘all ye faithful’ in Tarlee

12 Dec 2022 11:06am

It was far from a silent night in Tarlee last Sunday as the Band performed an entertaining Christmas concert for the local community.

People of all ages jingled all the way to the Tarlee Community Hall last Sunday to enjoy an entertaining Christmas concert featuring the iconic Band of the South Australia Police.

The Tarlee community, and a large contingent of visitors to the region, were in fine voice as the talented Band brought joy to their world with an array of Christmas carols.

Singing, dancing and lots of laughing were combined with important messages about regional road safety and the role of police in the community. The Band also played a special Toy Story song relating to the message ‘police are your friends’.

The event was a resounding success with the Band asked to return in 2023 for a repeat performance.

This concert was the latest in a busy Christmas schedule for the Band. They have recently performed at the Brighton Neighbourhood Watch carols event, Mount Pleasant street parade and the Murray Bridge Christmas pageant. On Friday night they head to the Barossa Valley where they will aim to hit all the right notes with the Lyndoch community.
