This year has been a challenging one for all of us, and will long be remembered as the year of the COVID-19 pandemic. With 2020 coming to a close we would like to take this opportunity to thank our Neighbourhood Watch SA volunteers and members for their resilience in the face of adversity.
COVID-19 put a stop to Neighbourhood Watch meetings and activities for much of the year, but we’ve been happy to see more and more Neighbourhood Watch groups get back into the swing of things and start holding their meetings again.
One thing that has helped South Australians get through this difficult year is a strong sense of community. We’ve worked together and looked out for each other throughout a challenging time.
While Christmas may seem like a universally happy time of year, for some people it can be a time of anxiety, stress and loneliness. We encourage you all to keep up the community spirit throughout the holiday period – be kind to each other, check in on friends and family, and look out for your neighbours and the more vulnerable members of your community.
From all of us here at the Neighbourhood Watch SA team, we wish each and every one of you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
