National Alcohol Strategy

The National Alcohol Strategy 2006-2011 is the key strategic document outlining Australia's response to alcohol-related problems. The strategy is the result of collaboration between Australian governments, the non-government sector, industry and the broader community.

The following four priority areas are nominated as the focus of the strategy:

  • intoxication
  • public safety and amenity
  • health impacts
  • cultural place and availability
