Police Bands

The Band of the South Australia Police has two sections which perform in schools to deliver safety and crime prevention messages. It creates an opportunity for police and young people to interact in a lively and positive way.

School Beat Bands

There are two School Beat Bands to entertain and educate young people from child care centres to senior primary level.

The bands present information about the instruments used and a crime reduction message, tied in with a light-hearted musical performance.

The performances are accompanied by the distribution of an activity book, the 'School Beat Book', which tells the reader about the role and work of police.
