Hills Murray Local Service Area

The Hills Murray Local Service Area (LSA) is unique, having been created by joining a Country Division and a Metropolitan Division. The area encompasses a diverse slice of South Australia, embracing some of the loveliest parts of the state, from the Coorong to the Adelaide Hills, the Lower Murray to the Mallee. Policing such a diverse area requires a range of various strategies, including a strong focus on Intelligence Led Policing and problem solving. With Intelligence Officers based at both Mt Barker and Murray Bridge, with support from their patrols and station members at Coonalpyn, Karoonda, Mannum, Meningie, Narrung, Stirling, Strathalbyn, Tailem Bend and Woodside, they are constantly working towards reducing crime and the fear of crime.

With one of the countries main Highways running through the LSA, the operations undertaken by LSA traffic members as well as station/patrol members are paramount in making roads safe for the local community and tourists.
