Prosecution Services Branch

Prosecution Services Branch provides management and service in relation to corporate prosecution policy, training and advice; legislative research and advice, including interpretation and dissemination of new law and the provision of a professional, high quality, ethical and cost effective legal service.

The Branch is accountable for the setting and maintaining of prosecution policy, procedure, standards and ethics within SAPOL's prosecution service.

The Branch consists of four sections:

  • Prosecutor Development Section
  • Management Development Section
  • Performance Management Section
  • Legislative Review Section.

Solicitors Branch

The Solicitors Branch is comprised of solicitors and Police Legal Officers and provides legal advice to SAPOL senior executive in relation to corporate, civil and operational policing responsibilities
