Far North Local Service Area

Far North Local Service Area (LSA) occupies approximately 670,000 square km of northern South Australia, about 73% of the area of the State, bordering Western Australia, Northern Territory, Queensland and New South Wales. The main population centre is the rural city of Port Augusta. Other towns within the LSA that have a SAPOL presence are:

The policing presence ranges from a single community constable in the Anangu-Pitjantjatjara Lands through the mid sized Coober Pedy with fourteen members to the headquarters at Port Augusta with five patrol teams and associated staff.
