Elizabeth Local Service Area

The Elizabeth Local Service Area (LSA) provides a community policing service which is customer focused and provides a policing response to the Salisbury, Playford, Gawler and Mallala Council areas covering some 1,767 square kilometres with 217,051 residents. (Estimated resident population as at 30/6/2004)

Throughout the LSA, policing services are located at Elizabeth, Salisbury, Gawler, Two Wells and Mallala Police Stations providing the policing functions of mobile patrols, criminal investigation, traffic, intelligence, crime scene, criminal justice, community programs and victim support services that are there to support and service the needs of the community providing assistance when required.

By working as a team and with the dedication and cooperation of its members, the LSA has established partnerships within the community which have enabled them to provide an effective problem solving approach to reducing crime and the fear of crime. They are a modern, motivated, progressive LSA that is professional and responsive to the needs and expectations of the communities within the Elizabeth Local Service Area.

The LSA has Main North and Port Wakefield Roads, two of the states major arterial roads running through it, where operations undertaken by Traffic and operational members are integral in making the roads safer for those who may use them.
