The Human Resources Service is responsible for recruiting, selection, development, training and education of SAPOL employees so as to meet the current and predicted human resource needs of the organisation in line with its corporate goals of being community based, client focused, accountable and flexible whilst embracing the best practices in the Human Resources domain.

The Service is also concerned with workforce planning, staff development, equity and diversity, industrial relations and occupational health, safety and injury management.
